(well, almost)


We just wanted to send a quick reminder to you all
for our next greendrinks monthly get-together happening
first Wednesdays (always)
January 3rd 2007
at Standard Tap at
2nd Street + Poplar Street
in the Northern Liberties
of Philadelphia Center City

This "one green night a month"℠ is a great
chance to meet with friends new + old
to start the new year as green as possible
(uh, you know what we mean)

We had a GREAT kick-off first meeting
last month at Standard Tap! The folks there are VERY
welcoming, serve an AWESOME local brew list,
and truly support local sustainable farms in their
delicious dining menu.

[also, greendrinks.philadelphia learned that in addition
to serving ALL local brews, they compost all their kitchen prep veggie scraps in
the Liberty Lands Community Garden one block north! yeah! ]

And, yes, we know this greendrinks get-together is just a few days AFTER
new year's eve... but, hey, you can handle it! C'mon out
and share your green, organic, sustainable, etc. holiday
survival stories! As with all the greendrinks get-togethers
there are loads of non-alchoholic refreshments available
to support socializing in a straight edge way.

And, as promised in our recent 'Call for Participation' broadcast,
we will be trying out a new format starting this month
where a guest speaker will share some new ideas, philosophy, examples, etc.
to kick-start our social dialogues and networking. We welcome some
really great upcoming speakers (and there is plenty of room left on
the 07 calendar if any other folks wish to guest present in a VERY
informal way (verbal and/or AV). See the attached TENTATIVE
schedule for our 07 Speakers List. We will meet UPSTAIRS to the
left seating area when we have greendrinks Guest Speakers.

So, Walk, Run, Bike, Train, Public Transit, or Carpool to
Standard Tap this coming First Wednesday for our first
event of the new year! Bring a friend, colleague, neighbor,
family member to join in!
