Hello greendrinks.philadelphia Community!

Best of the new year to everyone and we hope you all had a wonderful
holiday season! We wish to welcome all you existing members AND our
new members to a new year of greendrinks.philadelphia monthly green
social get-togethers. We now have 206 members!
We are happy and proud to be part of the global greendrinks.org community.

Also, we're not sure if any of you made it out on Jan 2nd 2008 to the
bar to meet...but....greendrinks.philadelphia just had to take a much
needed break after the holidays and thought many of you
would do the same (seeing that greendrinks was just 48 hrs AFTER
celebrating new year's eve!!! sheesh! )....our apologies for any
confusion if any of you were left standing
there at the bar waiting for our famous official greendrinks.philadelphia
"Hi! My Name is: _____________" sticker...
and the usual warm monthly greendrinks welcome...but, hey- we just
needed a break for goodness sake! (and thanks for your understanding!)

We WILL be meeting again for February 2008 First Wed and would
love to see you all there again so we can catch up with everyone!

Bring your always lively green conversations, networking needs/resources,
and of course, thirst (and hunger) for great
LOCAL drinks + food at our next monthly social get-together at

NEW! greendrinks.philadelphia NEWS:

1) Additional greendrinks.philadelphia meeting opportunities brewing!
We may add some new / additional greendrinks meeting sites!
We have received a few inquiries as to whether we can expand/extend
the local greendrinks meeting sites/nites to other locations or on other
nights around town IN ADDITION to the First Wed meeting at the Standard Tap...
we're considering it based on commuting + community needs...but we
WILL need volunteers** to run these new nights/get-togethers...stay tuned
for updates and call for volunteers!

2) greendrinks.philadelphia Goods:
Corny or truly required gear? We have had more than a few folks ask if
they can get a custom greendrinks.philadelphia t-shirt / pint glass / painter's cap
(all organic / eco of course!) to use/wear to greendrinks.philadelphia or
perhaps some other elegant social event....well, due to your demand and
our great networking skills we CAN do it (see the attached logo)
(however, we would need to get enough interest [aka: orders] to
keep the prices low due to quantity and good sourcing!)

The best part of this pending offer is we would LIKE to donate
some of the fund$ gathered from this effort and put it towards
a great non-profit green/eco/organic effort...
you get the goods and some great non-profit effort out there
will get a chunk of these fund$ for their great green/eco work!
We are currently researching possible green donation candidates.
We would like to make our collective green efforts go just a bit
farther and thought you all would too.
(note: we just want to cover our costs for these proposed goods,
the rest will go to some yet to be determined green/eco non-profit)

3) greendrinks.philadelphia Annual Organizational Meeting
+ **Call for Volunteers:
greendrinks.philadelphia can ALWAYS use some community
INPUT for making this grass-roots effort BETTER and need your
volunteer help/input...
if any of you have any interest in helping out--let us know.

To make it easy, we are going to have a 1 hour
planning/organizational/volunteers meeting at 5pm
JUST before the upcoming Feb 6 greendrinks.

if you can make it-GREAT! if not, no worries!!!
Just contact us and let us know when you can make
it to a greendrinks.philadelphia nite and
we can talk then (we TRULY understand how busy / scheduled
everyone is...us too!); NOTE: we try to organize our nites out/travel
planning as well to keep our eco-footprint under control also
(doing this meeting the same nite as greendrinks REALLY helps!)

4) greendrinks.philadelphia Green Info Summit 2008

due to great demand we are STILL trying to get the first
greendrinks.philadelphia Green Info Summit
to become a reality...stay tuned, it's still very much alive!

we will meet DOWNSTAIRS in the open bar area
and casual dining area (don't fret: it is the SAME
menu as upstairs!!!) we will not be moving upstairs
but will rather congregate in the front bar area + tables areas
DOWNSTAIRS ONLY. (thanks in advance!)

We want to get back on track for sharing
whatever green business cards, pamphlets/brochures,
flyers, etc. that you all may like to bring and promote.
We will (try to) have a bit of space available
to lay out any sustainable business or lifestyle
info that you all may bring. We will also take back any
extra literature and bring them to the next greendrinks.philadelphia.
The main thing is just to relax and have a good time.
